Claude LeBaube 1919-2007 ClaudeLeBaube
Our dear friend and talented artist Claude LeBaube passed away peacefully on December 31, 2007 at his home in Aix-en-Provence, France.
We will miss his exuberant spirit, his passion for history, his quick wit and of course his art, to which he devoted a lifetime. Adieu Claude...

Tip of the MonthWaterRingRepair

Repairing water rings...
This tip is for solid woods with a wax finish (not for French polish). White rings, caused when water penetrates a finish, can be removed by wiping them gently with a cloth and denatured alcohol. (Black rings indicate damaged or burned wood and require refinishing.) Too much alcohol can dull the finish. If this happens, restore a satin sheen by rubbing with extra-fine 0000 steel wool and beeswax. To make the repair blend in, go over the damaged area and the entire adjacent surface with the wax and buff with a dry, clean cloth. Voila!

A wonderful little hand painted Italian armoire from Citta del Castello. The marblized detail on the door panels and arrow motif give it personality and charm. A great storage piece for a child's room, an entry way or even a rustic Italian style kitchen.

Floor price is $3200 - we are offering it at  $1600 through February 28th.

Hurry, it won't last!
